Pathein
Pathein formerly know as Bassein is the capital of Ayeyarwaddy Division. It is located of eastern bank of Pathein river in Ayeyarwady delta 190km west of Yangon. It can be reach by 4-hour bumpy road trip or by overnight boat ride. Most of the tourists pass through on their way to Beach resort such as Ngwe Saung Beach. Pathein is famous for its colorful hand-made wooden umbrella. It is also famous for rice and fishery products because of its location in Ayeyarwaddy delta.
