Sittwe
Sittwe formerly known as Akyab is the administrative capital city of Rakhine State. It is located on an estuarial island where Kaladan River meets the Bay of Bengal. Most of the travelers stop by at the Sittwe on the way to Mrauk U - the acient city of Rakhine. Sittwe is an important maritime commerce center for exporting rice.
